The Port Lixus Plan Azur resort is located on the northern Atlantic coast of Morocco, approximately 80 kilometers south of Tangier and adjacent to the city of Larache.
This has been conceived and is being developed as an upscale resort featuring a range of tourism and leisure activities which will help to ensure a four season usage and visitation pattern. The 470 hectare resort area is located near the Lixus archaeological site, the Phoenician city in which the resort has been named.
The resort site includes over eight kilometers of beach frontage and features a sloping plateau-headland providing breathtaking views over the Atlantic Ocean and beaches. The climate at Port Lixus is “Mediterranean” with fabulous sunny days in the spring and summer months and a minimal amount of rain mainly during the winter months (350mm). Year round temperatures are pleasant with an average temperature of 23۫ C.
The nearest international airport to the resort is Tangier, which is a 40 minute drive away. Both Ryanair and EasyJet are expected to add UK and European routes into Tangier within the next 2-3 years. A new motorway connecting Tangier with Casablanca runs directly adjacent to the resort site with direct road junction access planned from the motorway into the resort.
Designed with wellness, health and nature as integral points, Port Lixus will include two 18-hole golf courses now being designed by Enrique Saenger as well as both a pleasure port along the Loukas River and a larger marina with over 700 mooring points.
The first properties being released within Phase One are detached villas set within spacious plots; many having superb ocean and golf views. Six villa types will be available with prices expected to start near 500,000 euros.
We anticipate Apartments, townhouses and Apart-Hotel unit opportunities to be released in the coming months.
