| The new program, called "Winter 2006", to start on October 29, schedules flights from Marrakech to Mulhouse (2 flights weekly) and to Bologne and daily flights from this southern city to Paris. The Marrakech-Bologne line will be serviced twice a week as of February 2007.
Atlas Blue, subsidiary of the Moroccan carrier "Royal Air maroc", is to service the Fes-Marseille air line three times a week and Oujda-Marseille twice a week.
The RAM subsidiary is reinforcing its existing destinations ensuring six weekly flights between Marrakech and Lyon, four flights per week from Marrakech to both Bordeaux and Toulouse and two to three flights to Nice.
Marrakech-Nantes line, incepted in 2006, will be serviced four times weekly in winter and Marrakech-Lille twice a week. Atlas Blue is also maintaining its daily Marrakech-London flight and is to add an eighth in a week as of February. Milan is to be serviced daily, Brussels five times a week and Geneva four times.
To secure the flights, Atlas Blue has bought in 2006 an Airbus A321 and a Boeing 737-800, upping its fleet to eight planes.
Atlas Blue kicked off its first flight in July 2004 between Marrakech and Lyon on behalf of French Tour Operator Etapes Nouvelles.
Atlas Blue was set up on May 28, 2004 for the purpose of flying certain routes to and from Moroccan provinces and to and from tourist issuing markets.
Atlas Blue is based in Marrakech in Menara Airport.
RAM and Atlas Blue flew 4,104,126 passengers by the end of September 2005, a rise of 21% compared to the same period in 2004. |
